Educationist. Disciplinarian.

I AM

PLAY-er. SPOIL-er.

He is.

No wonder the kids look forward to spending time with him.

[Hang] “I like PaPa playing with me. It makes me happy. He’s funny. Yesterday, we played catch at the playground at Kong Kong’s house. We ran and ran like mad. PaPa brings us swimming. We play shark attack. It means PaPa must hide and we use water gun to shoot him. I like PaPa to sleep with me at night

[Xiang]: Me oso! I LIKE OSO!

[Hang] Papa is my favourite.

[Mummy] Hrmph!

[Hang] You Too, Mummy! But we are talking about PaPa now, right!?

Hi Janice,

just tot to ask you a question. Is it possible to share with me some of the things u teach yr kids when they are say 16 mths? like do you teach them words and buy wall charts etc? how do you keep yr house neat with the toys etc? cupboards from ikea? thanks!

Hi Joycelyn,
At 16 months, I do Flash Cards (Glenn Doman) and I do lots of arts and crafts. As for my home – yes, I use IKEA boxes and I label them. Most important, I teach the boys to put back their toys after they play. We have a play room. They can mess up the place but at the end of the day, they have to sort the toys into the correct boxes. Hang has plenty of puzzles/IQ games which he loves. We teach him to count the pieces before packing them. We explain that once pieces are missing he won’t have fun playing with them anymore. Also, we told the boys that when they outgrow these toys, we will donate them to the less fortunate – and for that they have a responsibility to keep the toys in best condition. Hope these helps.

Usually the disciplinarian parent is under-appreciated during the childhood days but very appreciated when they become adults. At least that’s the case for me hehe…
